On the job training means that every apprentice is  earning a paycheck from day one. While on the job, apprentices have access to a Journey Worker who is already highly skilled and trained in their field to act as a trainer and mentor

Is there any in class work for a Registered Apprenticeship program?

All apprenticeship programs include classroom instruction that is designed to coincide with the on the job training. As an apprentice learns more on the job and in the classroom, their wages gradually increase until they reach a Journey Worker status.

What does a Carpenter do?

Carpenters play a crucial role in construction, focusing on site layout, building, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, concrete, steel and other materials..

Carpenters construct the framework for all buildings, including foundations, walls, floors, ceilings and roofs. They also install drywall, doors, windows, bathroom partitions, accessories, and cabinetry. They apply trim, moldings and repair damaged structures.
